Every once in a while the stars align and life is pretty darn good.
I live for weekends and I try and get as much in (my mouth) as possible. When I got on the scale this morning and saw I only gained .4# well praise the lord because that is damn near a miracle. I am going to push my luck and go for a maintain on scale next weekend or is that crazy talk?
We got to spend Friday and Saturday night with great friends celebrating because that is what you do when it is the weekend. You gotta love when you have friends who can cook and keep you hydrated!! We got farm fresh eggs Saturday night so Brad made me a beautiful French omelet with sliced heirloom tomatoes from our garden on Sunday morning. He is a keeper ~
Jake passed his summer courses with A's - thank you Pam. He is on track to graduate from CU Boulder December 2019. Praise baby Jesus!!! Our pockets will be so much heavier.
Mag had tennis districts and did well at singles - you go tiger. She brought home a nice guy who is handsome, competitive, plays outdoor games and calls me ma'am. I kind of feel as if I am 80 when someone says ma'am, We will work on him calling me Becky, but since you never know what you are going to get with Mag I was on my absolute best behavior. I limited myself to one cocktail and not one F word came out of my mouth. That took a lot of restraint.
We capped the weekend off meeting Mag and Jorden at Rabbit Mountain Open Space to watch the meteor shower with a cooler and snacks. It was a beautiful evening. Brad and I left to come home and go to bed. I was sound asleep until I got a phone call at 11PM from Maggie asking if I had her car keys and just like that, the stars became unaligned.
